CUSTOMER OBSERVATIONS & TIPS
Thanks John for sharing your observations and tips:

Took 10 hrs to drill a combination of holes:
- 47 feet of 1-1/2” holes
- 70 feet of 3/4” relief holes

Keep your drill bit cool by flushing with water.

Don't plan on drilling all the holes in one go. I drilled Dexpan holes in three steps (pilot hole, up sized to 1” and then final 1-1/2” diameter).

Relief holes are easier and quicker to drill and help a lot. 1 1/2 to 2 minutes to drill 18 inch deep. I used regular length bit for start of pilot then switched to longer one to finish.

Save your most expensive bits for the depth.

Personally, I find Bosch hammer drills work better than Hilti. (I had free use of both SDS Plus & Max).

I flushed the drilled holes with water then poked holes with a stick to displace water, vacuumed dry and left overnight to air dry.

Holes filled with Dexpan at first light the next day.

I used refrigerated bottled water since my only other water source is lake water which was too warm.

Mixed appeared much thinner than I thought it would be.

Also save the beer until your done.

CUSTOMER FEEDBACK
“Let it do its thing and tada by noon the next day rock was cracking”

”Actually cracked further back beyond drilled holes”
