Dexpan vs. Nex-Pro
DEMOLITION GROUT CHALLENGE
Dexpan 2 vs Nex-pro 2
BACKGROUND
Dennis Wager, the manufacturer and distributor of a competing demolition grout, invited us to conduct a test to compare the performance of his brand of demolition grout (Nex-pro) with Dexpan. We accepted the “challenge.”
Wednesday
Dennis selected the test material and was kind enough to drill the holes.
Thursday Morning
10:00 am we started the test. Dennis added water to his Nex-pro powder, mixed with a stick and immediately filled his holes. I did the same, mixing Dexpan with water from the same hose, stirred with a stick, then immediately filled my holes.
Thursday Night
9:30 pm, I returned to the test site, took photos showing, what if any, cracking had occurred so far. See pictures below.
Friday
8:30 am, 22-1/2 hours later and another round of pictures and videos.
Who won the Challenge? You be the judge!
Which grout worked faster? Which product created a larger number of fractures?
Check out the detailed test conditions, results, pictures and video below.
